Kyle Boyce, aka The Bearded Trainer, is the Manager and Head Coach over Personal Training at Elevate Fitness & Rehab. He leads our hour-long Elite Group Training and 30-minute QuickFit classes. He also does Small Group Private Training, and One on One Private Training. He is a Certified Fitness Trainer, certified by ISSA and Fitness Revolution, and CPR/AED certified.
Kyle was born and raised in Mountain View, California. He served a full-time mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Budapest, Hungary, and attended BYU-Provo and UVU, graduating in the Health Sciences field. He loves playing indoor and outdoor sports, and spending time in Utah’s rugged and picturesque mountains. At a young age he was very health conscious and loved learning about nutrition, how the body works, and teaching others about the importance of nutrition and exercise. Believe it or not, he still believes the best dessert is fruit. Growing up he was active in wrestling, volleyball, basketball, baseball, track and field, soccer, cross-country, and hockey. He is married, and has two beautiful kids, Aria (2 years old), and Mack (3 month old).
Kyle got more involved with fitness in 2008 at a local gym. He took a break from traditional weightlifting and began to train in Muay Thai. After a few years he realized that there was a demand for trainers who had a real passion and desire to deliver a quality service. In 2011 he began working as a full-time trainer. Kyle truly devotes himself to those he trains and becomes fully invested in their well being. He diligently studies and creates innovative exercises and programs to produce one of the most effective workouts available.
He always goes above and beyond to make sure his clients get the best care. He considers this his “dream job” as he loves being able to help people improve their overall health and happiness through exercise, proper nutrition, and overall wellness.
He has a personal belief that in order to reach your specific goals you need to get rid of what is holding you back, allowing you to truly progress and live a happier and healthier lifestyle. He believes you need to utilize the right resources for your goals, targeting: correct exercise, nutrition, body function, mentality, and accountability. He feels that, “Exercise is not a thing we do to fix a problem – it is a thing we must do anyway, a thing without which there will always be problems.” He enjoys what he does and has a genuine interest in every client’s performance and health. He works hard to give all his clients a great experience and hopes you enjoy coming to Elevate as much as he loves having you there!
