Physical Therapists aren’t just there for post surgical rehab or major injuries. They can help restore movement and function, and decrease pain, no matter the cause.
Every good Plan of Care prescribed by a Physical Therapist should include a “Home Program”, or a regimen for patients to continue after they’re discharged from therapy. This reinforces proper healing and helps reduce the likelihood of recurring pain.
Being consistent with a Home Program is critical, but can be hard to do on your own. Especially if you’re worried about re-injury.
