Returning To Exercise After An Injury

celisa-profileSO MANY PEOPLE GET SMALL INJURIES  AND NEVER FIX THEM.  They go their whole lives enduring chronic pain and frustration, never knowing exactly what’s wrong.

Physical Therapists aren’t just there for post surgical rehab or major injuries. They can help restore movement and function, and decrease pain, no matter the cause.

Every good Plan of Care prescribed by a Physical Therapist should include a “Home Program”, or a regimen for patients to continue after they’re discharged from therapy. This reinforces proper healing and helps reduce the likelihood of recurring pain.

Being consistent with a Home Program is critical, but can be hard to do on your own. Especially if you’re worried about re-injury.

One of the great luxuries we have here at Elevate, is the collaboration between Physical Therapy and Personal Training.  If you’re looking to return to exercise after dealing with an injury but aren’t sure how to get started, our Post-Rehab Group Class is a must try. We focus on improving your strength, flexibility, and cardiovascular health with circuit and weight training– all in a way the reinforces your healing.

Our Post-Rehab Group Class meets WEDNESDAYS & FRIDAYS at 7:00 AM. Join us for a great workout!
