Elevate’s Latest Treatments Explained Including Dry Needling: with Rich Hart and Dr. Matt Scott

Elevate Fitness and Rehab has been serving the Utah community for 25 years, and this milestone marks a time of reflection, growth, and gratitude. In a recent conversation between owner Rich Hart and physical therapist Dr. Matt Scott, the two discussed the success they've had, the clients they’ve helped, and the incredible team that makes it all possible.

Elevate Fitness and Rehab continues to focus on offering top-notch care in physical therapy, chiropractic care, nutrition, and fitness services.

One exciting recent addition to Elevate’s services is dry needling, a powerful treatment that Dr. Matt Scott has integrated into his physical therapy practice. Though initially hesitant, Dr. Scott experienced the benefits firsthand and now uses dry needling to treat patients with conditions like plantar fasciitis, IT band issues, and more. This technique allows therapists to work deep into affected tissues, promoting healing and relief where other treatments may fall short.

What is Dry Needling?

Dry needling is a treatment in which a licensed physical therapist uses very thin, sterile needles to target specific muscles, tendons, or tissues. By inserting the needle directly into the affected area, it stimulates the body’s natural healing processes, reduces muscle tension, and improves range of motion. Unlike acupuncture, which is based on traditional Chinese medicine, dry needling is rooted in modern science and is often used to treat conditions such as chronic pain, muscle tightness, and injuries that haven’t responded to other therapies.
